    • ABOUT THIS PIECE

A truly special find from the historic Norwegian arts community, this vintage 1985 ceramic brooch features a hand-formed oval cabochon. Hand-painted with a beautiful, mottled grey and white underglaze, it is overlaid with a striking abstract pattern of liquid gold luster glaze that catches and reflects the light elegantly. Beautifully handmade, this studio pottery piece is a wearable fragment of Scandinavian craftsmanship.

      CONDITION

Excellent vintage condition. The ceramic cabochon is free of chips, cracks, or crazing. The hand-painted gold luster glaze is incredibly bright and reflective, and the original gold-toned pin back mechanism on the reverse is fully secure and functions perfectly.
